Your first graphic
- Open or create a project from the dashboard.
- In the left sidebar, open the Data view (or stay on the canvas and use the Datasets tab). Click + New dataset → Upload file and choose a CSV or TSV. You can also start from Blank dataset and paste from a spreadsheet, or pick a sample dataset to try the tool.
- Back on the canvas, insert a frame from the insert panel (I), then insert a chart — Insert → Charts → Column chart.
- Select the chart. In the Properties panel, link your dataset and map X and Y.
- Add a heading, a legend, or a divider if you want the frame to read as a finished graphic.
- Select the frame. In Export, choose PNG, SVG, or PDF and download. Or open Share to publish a view link.
The editor at a glance
Three regions around an infinite canvas:- Left — Layers (everything on the canvas, in order), Assets (styles, templates, themes, brand kits), and Datasets. The insert panel lives here too.
- Canvas — Frames sit here. Pan with Space+drag. Zoom with ⌘ + / ⌘ -, ⌘ 0 to fit, ⌘ 1 for 100%.
- Right — the Properties panel. It changes with your selection: frame, block, or a single chart element.
